Creating a Movement
We are a burgeoning movement centered in Southern California. Our message is simple, yet important – and our commitment is strong. We are always looking for passionate people to become a part of our movement. If you’re interested in getting involved, please drop us a line at: hello@ecofficiency.org
We Are
We founded Ecofficiency.Org as a way to share insights about how we can all become part of the solution to our world’s problems.
Jesse Baker, PhD
Founder, Executive Director
Developing and producing dynamic community education and action projects is what inspired Jesse to found Ecofficiency.Org. He has had many unique and valuable experiences which have given him first hand exposure to the harsh realities of our consumer impacts, the globally dependent lifestyles we choose to lead, and ultimately sustainability, and wants to work with his community in finding real solutions to the problems our world faces. Taking a holistic and systemic approach to identify the roots of the problems we face is the only way we will find long term solutions – which is what ecofficiency is all about. Jesse received his PhD from UC Irvine in Environmental Policy.
Chrissy Gray
Co-Founder, Event Coordinator
Chrissy is a passionate environmentalist with a love for the great outdoors – you can often find her riding her beach cruiser, hiking through the local hills, or traveling the globe. She has a BA in Psychology, with a minor in Environmental Studies, from California State University at Fullerton, and is the owner of GRN Events, which combines her love of social gatherings with her passion for environmental conservation. “I believe it is essential to educate people on the individual roles we have as makers of change. Every person has an impact on this planet, socially and environmentally, so let’s make it a positive one!”
Thomas Cemo
Project Manager
Thomas received his MS and BS in mechanical engineering from Baylor University with an emphasis in renewable energy and is currently working at a solar energy company in Orange County. Thomas grew up on an orange grove in the San Joaquin Valley and understands the importance of where our food comes from.
